CFS Alert, located well inside the Arctic Circle, is the world's northernmost permanently inhabited place in the world. 

JSM was engaged as the prime contractor on this 3-stage airfield rehabilitation project in Canada's Polar Artic. The project comprised replacement of airfield electrics, instrumentation and AFL systems including elevated edge lighting, PAPIs and SSALR approach, along with a new FEC and AFL control system and high mast apron lighting. The airport remained operational throughout the entire construction period. JSM managed all logistical coordination and performed all associated civil works.
