This switchyard was built to facilitate connection of the Maritime link of the Muskrat Falls Lower Churchill Project to the mainland of Atlantic Canada. It comprises a 230KV classic breaker and a half configuration with 4 rungs built to NPCC bulk power standards including A & B redundant protection. 

JSM installed 30m high steel structures, disconnect switches, circuit breakers, CVT's, and surge arresters. The rigid bus systems and overhead strain bus system were also completed along with the installation of all high voltage and low voltage power and control systems.
